September 8 @ 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Head for the Hills! Tour family farms featuring local art and food.
Road Trip! Bring your friends, bring your family, and tour family farms featuring local art and food in Western Maine.
1. Join us for an afternoon outing on Sunday, September 8th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and support our local farms and artists.
2. Pick up your map and the open-house descriptions from the tent near the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce (48 Cross Street, Bethel) on Sunday, September 8th from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Maps/guides may be purchased in person that day and in advance (locations to pick up tickets to be announced soon).
3. Drive to the farms to see the baby animals, enjoy special attractions such as wood-oven pizza, gluten-free baked goods, fresh produce, and barnyard or orchard tours. Bring a cooler for to-go treats. Meet the artists displaying everything from chainsaw carving to jewelry to the fiber arts and pottery and more. Some have demonstrations and hands-on opportunities. All sites are within about 10 miles of the starting point. The $20 per vehicle (not per person) ticket includes a map to the sites and descriptions of the activities. (It does not include purchases from the farms and artists.)
